Join the BCO

We are always looking for new members any time through the playing season. We are open to musicians with an interest in playing classical music and at least a few years of playing experience, up to advanced players. BCO is a full orchestra with string, woodwind, brass and percussion sections.

New members don't need to audition. We choose parts by our playing ability and personal judgement, and our conductor and concert master will assign or rotate parts within sections as needed. 

We rehearse on Saturday mornings, from early September to early May, at the Kinsmen Rehearsal Hall, Brandon University School Of Music, Brandon Manitoba.

• set up  -  9:30 am
• tune and play -  9:45 am
• break time - yes we take a break for snacks and socializing
• rehearsal ends - 12:00 noon

Membership fees are reasonable and are necessary to cover the costs of running the orchestra. We have a reduced fee for students.
