Welcome!
The Brandon Community
Orchestra is a member-run, amateur orchestra located in Brandon,
Manitoba, Canada.
Our season typically features rehearsals every Saturday from
September to May, at the Brandon University School of Music. Our
concert series includes an annual feature at the Brandon City Hall
holiday open house, and a spring gala performance that showcases
our talents and provides an opportunity to feature musical guests
in collaboration. We also travel to other Manitoba communities to
bring our performances to a wider audience. Our music covers the
orchestral range from classical to new music, musical theatre, and
cinematic scores. We also work with composers in Western Manitoba
to bring new compositions to life.
Our 2021-22 season
begins October 23, 2021 with in-person rehearsals. See the Join
Us section for more information about fall 2021 rehearsals.
We are delighted to have
Josias Sanchez return as our conductor for 2021/22. Many thanks to
our 2020/21 conductor, Robert Richardson Jr, who brought
tremendous inspiration and creativity to our virtual gatherings,
to keep our musical community together and help us stay ready for
music-making.
